Guidance for safe use by children, families and schools in England.
Our safeguarding approach
QuestPop is a learning service, not a counselling, monitoring or emergency service. Features are designed to minimise unnecessary personal disclosures and to keep parent, pupil, teacher and administrative access separate. Automated scores must never replace an adult’s safeguarding judgement.
Safe use by children
Children should use the service with oversight appropriate to their age. They should not share passwords, addresses, phone numbers, school timetables, health details, images or private experiences in learning responses. Adults should use fictional details whenever a task involves people or sensitive situations.
Concerns and disclosures
If a child says they are unsafe, an adult should listen, avoid promising secrecy, record the concern accurately and follow the applicable school or local safeguarding procedure. Do not investigate within QuestPop or ask the child to repeat a disclosure in the app.
Immediate help
If someone is in immediate danger in England, call 999. For non-emergency police help call 101. Children can contact Childline on 0800 1111. Concerns about online sexual abuse or grooming can be reported through CEOP. QuestPop support cannot provide emergency or safeguarding intervention.
Schools and organisations
Schools remain responsible for safer recruitment, supervision, designated safeguarding leads, local policies, reporting and statutory duties. They should regularly review user roles, remove access that is no longer needed and avoid uploading safeguarding case records to QuestPop.
